Rene Stephan with Lorenzo’s Dog Training is AMAZING! Within weeks he transformed our new rescue puppy Peaches from a nippy, shoe grabbing puppy into a sweet little girl who listens to whatever say and we can easily bring to family functions. I recommend Rene 100% and loved working with him!

If we had to do it all over again, we’d do it without hesitation!

A little background — we adopted Tiger back in 2021 and our 3-year-old boy is a 100 lbs GSD/pitbull mix who dealt with aggression out of fear and anxiety. He was the easiest puppy, but once he got to the age of two he started pulling in every which way direction during our walks, barked like crazy whenever the doorbell rang or someone knocked, and would lunge and bark at any dog (whether small or large) on walks and car rides. This was unfortunate because Tiger loved going out with us yet his reactivity made every outing stressful since we always had to check our surroundings for other dogs. Both my bf and I have fallen due to Tiger’s pulling and we’ve also had to break up fights between Tiger and other dogs. We watched SO many YouTube videos on “how to condition your dog out of reactivity”, but implementation is definitely easier said than done when it comes to DIY dog training. We love Tiger like crazy and wanted his life to be as fulfilling as possible, but felt discouraged as we couldn’t have him be a liability and a danger to other dogs.

So, fast forward to January 2024, I was venting to a friend about our dilemma with Tiger and she shared how her 7-year-old pup dealt with similar behavioral issues until they went through training with Lorenzo’s Dog Team. She showed me pictures and videos of her dogs post training and I was obsessed — they were happy and so well-behaved on and off leash and knowing that one of her older pups benefited so greatly from the training, I knew I had to give it a try for Tiger. I made the call on January 19 and was able to schedule an evaluation with Rene literally the next day. The entire process was smooth and effortless and not only that, but Rene called me personally to introduce himself and gave a quick run down of what to expect with the evaluation. Rene came over the next day, we had the evaluation, we signed Tiger up, and the rest was history. Less than two months later, Tiger has done a complete 180. Since his training with Rene, Tiger no longer lunges and barks at other dogs, he has way more confidence, no more pulling on the leash, strangers compliment him, and overall it’s a joy to bring him out with us. Even our friends and family comment on how much Tiger has improved and how amazing he is now! Every day my bf and I talk about how far Tiger has come and how thankful we are for Rene. Not only has Tiger shown a huge improvement, but both my bf and I have learned a great deal from this experience. Rene taught us how to properly handle Tiger and all the dos and don’ts of managing his behavior and up keeping with his training on our end. Now we can confidently bring our boy to parks for drills and practice off leash handling, something we only dreamed of doing before. We cannot thank Rene and the Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team enough! 🙂

If you’re considering putting any of your fur babies through training with Lorenzo’s Team, DO IT PLS!

In August 2023 (7 months ago), I adopted Bubba, a 3.5 year old 85 pound HUGE rottweiler-shepherd mix who had been in four homes before mine (not his fault). While he had been through training through the rescue organization I got him from, he was a lot to deal with. I immediately began searching for trainers. Lorenzo’s was recommended by my vet, so I called, made an appointment, and Rene came to my house.

When Rene arrived, Bubba lunged, barked, growled, and was generally uncontrollable. Rene asked that I show him what Bubba’s training was, so I showed him how Bubba sort of heeled, sort of sat, sort of went “down,” and sort of came. Bubba was quite resistant. Then Rene took Bubba, and within 10 minutes, I was already watching a different dog.

Quite clearly Rene was there to train me, not Bubba.

Over the course of the next month, Bubba was transformed through my education from crazy dog to a well-mannered, excellent companion. I now take Bubba everywhere with me – restaurants, Home Depot, the bank, the drug store, to get my hair done (yep, they allow him because he is so good), the pet store (of course – his very favorite destination) – I even took him to get a healthy IV drip (who knew they’d allow dogs!) and he just laid at my feet and smiled at everyone who came in. Bubba has stayed at hotels and vacation rentals with me.

When he is in the car, he knows he must be lying calmly in the back seat and stay “down” until the door is opened, his leash in my hand, and his release command given (“Bubba out”) after which he is to immediately sit. No crazy blasting about the back seat while the car is moving or potentially jumping into traffic when the door opens.

I take Bubba hiking a lot and he is off leash wherever permitted. His recall is instant. When he is at a distance, I can tell him “down” and he will go down wherever he is no matter how far away. Same with “sit.” If I recall him to my heel, he looks like a military dog as he rushes over to my side. I am constantly complimented – and I mean ALL-the-time – on how well trained my dog is.

When Bubba and I go for walks around my neighborhood, we are unfortunately subjected to poorly trained dogs who lunge, bark, growl, and generally pull at the end of their leashes aggressively trying to get to Bubba. I ask Bubba to heel, and he ignores all the poorly behaved dogs. I don’t. I hate it and it takes away my peace. I hate it when we go to restaurants and dogs are barking or jumping about – all of this makes people dislike dogs in public places for good reason.

Training your dog has two purposes. First, it gives you the companion you envisioned. A joy to have in the house, a well-mannered addition. Second, it is your responsibility as a dog owner to present the public with a well-behaved player in the scene. It is unfair to take your dog out in public only to bring it and everyone around it (you included) stress.

Rene is no-nonsense and will get the job done. He will give you the tools to have the companion you have always wanted, on and off leash. The dog you see in movies and commercials (or those cute YouTube videos). It’s not a distant wish, it is well within your grasp. Do yourself and your neighbors and fellow citizens a favor – hire Rene and invest in the long and happy future with your furry family member!

Janice and Lorenzos Dog Training Team are awesome. Janice was very patient with us. We needed more training than the dogs. I've had lots of dog training but it was definitely worth taking classes from Janice. She helped us be able to manage both of them at the same time. Its remarkable how they actually can stay when someone is at the door. I cant say enough about Janice. Thank you Janice from all of us.

Janice is phenomenal! We had such an amazing experience with our training. I would recommend 10/10 to anyone. She structured it very well, explained everything thoroughly, gave us tons of help and guidance, and made us have this amazing bond with our dog. This training has made our lives so much easier in many ways. We feel comfortable going anywhere with our dog because of this training! She’s well behaved, doesn’t have anxiety, and has earned our respect. We enjoyed Janice and what she helped us accomplish. She’s truly amazing and continues to stay in touch and help us as we continue to advance our training and bond with our dog. My husband and I would highly recommend Janice and Lorenzo’s Dog Training without any hesitation. Best money spent!!

We have just completed training with Lorenzo's. We had the honor of working specifically with Janice (our main trainer) and Nai (her sister) joined at most sessions. Both Janice and Nai are very patient, kind and understanding. They understand the struggle and don't judge you for it. They help you understand why you are doing what you are doing and the psychology of your dog.

Yes, the training does cost a pretty penny but it is defiantly WORTH EVERY PENNY! Yes, we could have found a trainer that is easier on the wallet anywhere else but we decided on personal training vs. group training because we wanted to get hands on help and guidance every step of the way. You are taught how to handle the leash, how to use the training tools and most importantly, how to build a loving, trusting relationship with your dog. As the sessions progress you are taught first in your home how to apply all you have learning. As the training progresses you now get to apply all you have learned in the real world such as walk, hardware store, outdoor mall. You even learn how to safely transport your dog in your car. You just cant get that type of one on one help in a group class. They really get to know you and your dog and help you both succeed. I am so happy we called Lorenzo's the training is truly serious training and you do get serious results. Please keep in mind that YOU HAVE TO DO THE HOMEWORK EACH WEEK! Don't think your dog gets trained and ta-daa, you have the perfect dog. You have to DO THE WORK. The structure and discipline is so worth it in our dogs life, but also in our life. That is how dogs make us better people.

Please please please give Janice and Nai a call. You wont regret it. I am so thankful to Janice and Nai that they have taught us how to have that dream relationship we have always wanted to have with our dog. We couldn't have done it without them and they will always have a place in all our hearts. We are going to miss them.

The “training” we got, made nothing better. We reached out for training on my puppy who was 10 months old at the time with biting/nipping/ jumping. We paid $1,200 for 4 sessions where the trainer herself Desiree seemed out of it half the time and would take a while to respond to texts. We were promised on the contract to have boarding of 1 week for the start of the session and 3 sessions after, that never happened because of Parvo at her location, once cleared I kept bringing up the issue of the biting/jumping and thinking boarding would help, but she kept saying it would not benefit him…. In total we got 3 sessions and no boarding…Why include it in the contract then? I feel like it was such a waste of time and money going through it with no results, I feel the only way to resolve this is to have an actual trainer meet our expectations or to get a refund for the service we never received and paid for.

Hello reviewers!

My German Shepard was about 5 months old and I was struggling to train him due to my work schedule. He would constantly pull when on his leash and be almost unresponsive to my commands unless I had a treat ready. I watched different dog trainers on YouTube, bought different kinds of treats, and attempted to follow their instructions but nothing was really working. I felt that we were so far behind on training and obedience that I couldn’t even let him roam the house or introduce him to people and that this was going to be significantly harder down the road if we didn’t get help.

On the day of our evaluation, I was so nervous on how we would do and how he would be around her but once Janice handled his leash and worked with him, I was stunned. She did all the work I was trying to do for months in a short amount of time! By the end of the evaluation, he was obeying and following her like he was her dog lol. At that point I knew we had to train with her. Janice is professional, fun, and chill. She made the training environment comfortable by keeping directions simple and was very patient if I made a mistake during the session. She was available whenever I had questions and was supportive when I was having a rough day or week of training on my own. I’m a shy person but she was easy and fun to talk to. With her knowledge and down to earth personality, made this experience very enjoyable and I am grateful she was able to train us!

Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team is there to guide you but like with all things, you have to put in the work if you really want to be successful. I would’ve never imagined we would make so much progress and see our bond grow within a short time with Janice’s guidance. Now my Shepard walks next to me and is more obedient and responsive to my commands. He is able to roam the house but is also able to hold a down stay for a long period of time. I am also able to bring him around new people without having to worry about him jumping on them. If you want a peace of mind and are looking for training for both yourself and companion, look no further than Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team!
