When I contacted Ezra for help with my 6 year old German Shepherd, I was discouraged and desperate. I have a bit of experience training pet dogs and also self trained a service dog very successfully. Nothing in my experience was helping Jasper’s increasing dog reactivity and overall anxiety. I took him to several months of expensive training both in one-on-one classes and group classes. At first that seemed to help but I was uncomfortable with the use of the prong collar and aversive methods. I stopped using those and searched online and tried every type of kinder method I could find. Jasper got worse and finally got so reactive and anxious that we couldn’t go on walks unless we were deep in the forest off leash and far from anyone.

I reached out to Ezra and just asked if anything might help my beloved big boy. We set up an evaluation and Ezra said he did believe he could help Jasper. He identified extreme anxiety in him. Much worse than I knew.

Both Jasper and I learned so much in every lesson with Ezra. I learned how to break down training steps much smaller than I had ever been taught before. I learned to adjust my expectations to match Jasper’s needs. I learned to recognize and interrupt his anxiety much much quicker than before and help him stay in his thinking brain. And most of all, I learned how to fully embrace a kind partnership with Jasper that aligned with what my heart and head knew was best. Ezra handed me the tools and the skills at every lesson to be Jasper’s kind partner and help him grow.

I have always known Jasper’s potential was there. He is gentle and kind with babies and young children. He is eager to please and loves to go on hikes and adventures. But all of that was hidden behind an 85 pound pacing, lunging German Shepherd that scared people and caused a lot of anxiety for me as well! Ezra’s intervention has helped us move Jasper into being the amazing dog he is. We are now able to arrange doggie play dates and he is very quickly learning how to calmly interact with a new dog. He has 5 different dog buddies and we are both growing in confidence that he can be friends with a lot of different dogs! We are able to go on walks on leash in a calm way. Even when his anxiety shows up, we both know what to do!

Ezra made all of this happen for us. I was not a newbie to dog training. I had studied extensively and have had good success training other dogs. Ezra is next level. Truly! He has the training, the skills, the experience, and most importantly, the heart to work with the most difficult dog cases with compassion and intelligence. He gets astounding results! Not only am I a better dog partner after working with Ezra, I am a more compassionate person.

Thank you Ezra! From both me and from Jasper! We have a lot of work still ahead of us but I know we will reach our goals and have the kind of freedom together we want because of your amazing help!

Ezra was a wonderful calming presence, and extremely skilled at helping our dog overcome his visitor anxiety, as well as several other ingrained habits. There was an excellent balance between directly working with our dog, and helping us learn techniques to continue training him. Ezra was also really interested in hearing about our progress. Ezra is an amazing trainer! We initially brought our border collie pup to group training, which was unsuccessful. Our dog was a serious puller and had no impulse control. He needed personalized training. I contacted HausofK9 and Ezra went right to work. Over the past few months, our dog has learned to walk calmly on a leash and is much more polite when greeting people (he was a jumper). Ezra's positive reinforcement techniques work! You just have to stick with it! I've learned so much from Ezra. I use the training methods daily. I'm a better dog companion because of Ezra's kind and compassionate training.

Ezra is a wonderful and experienced dog trainer!
My bully mix had some prior training to help him with barking at other dogs but hadn’t made any progress in a long time.
He was able to sometimes see other dogs while on walks and stay calm but often still would bark and was unable to meet new dogs.
Ezra was able to identify what needed to change and patiently guided us through every step.
My dog responded quickly to Ezra’s training plan and I learned how to manage situations on my own.
My dog actually learned to calm himself down when he gets stressed out and made new dog friends!
It's been about a year since our last session and my dog is still able to be calm around other dogs.

Being able to confidently take my dog with me and enjoy new adventures together has made all the work we put in worth it!

Ezra is THE BEST w/high anxiety pups. He taught us how to work with our dog in sudden high anxiety situations. He has given us the tools for helping settle our dog… using distractions, distance and great leash techniques. We’d still be working with him if had not moved.

Ezra worked with my young dog, Morty for several weeks. We have yet to complete our training, but there have been noticeable differences in Morty's behavior and I I recommend their services to everyone!
At one point in my dogs life, nailtrims were very traumatic and caused a lot of stress. Ezra helped both of us work through steps in order to ease the process and I can now trim my dog's nails by myself, which is a huge accomplishment!
