Absolutely in love with the way The Dog Wizard accepted my sweet boy, Goose! We have tried other trainers before and have been told many times “he just needs to wear a muzzle”.. they were kind, gentle and loving on Goose which made it so much easier to drop him off each week!! Knowing he was being taken care of and taught how to be cool, calm and collected made my experience so much better!! They gave me more resources (other than just to muzzle him and shock him when he is misbehaving) to handle Goose on my own and to be able to stay calm when he has reactive episodes! Riley and the entire The Dog Wizard Fort Collins team are AMAZING!!! I was in tears with my dog before reaching out to them, and while they say it isn't magic, the progress for both me and my dog was magical! They taught me how to work with him and his progress was and continues to be incredible!

There are not enough words to express how wonderful our experience was with the dog wizard!! Our rescue Pitbull, Beans, got out of our house a few months ago and attacked a neighbors dog unprovoked. We were so panicked and had no idea her dog reactivity was to that level. We have done training at our home for months with no success, and ended up just living an isolated life so that we wouldn’t put Beans in a position to freak out on another dog. I called the dog wizard, desperate for help. I spoke directly with the owner Ro who made me feel instantly better. He was so very confident in his ability to correct the issue and improve Beans reactivity in only 15 days of training. We had Beans do the full consecutive 15 day training and it changed our lives. Ro was so incredible with Beans and helped us learn exactly how to work with her and what causes her behaviors. He reminded us every step of the way that she is a very good dog who just gets a little “spicy” sometimes. I personally have a lot of anxiety about taking Beans in public or anywhere there are other dogs, for fear I couldn’t control her in a worst case scenario. But the best part of this training is that Ro and his team helped me see that with a well trained dog, I can be in complete control and that Beans was perfectly capable of being in any public situation with no issues. Ro taught us exactly how to handle every situation and what to do if she ever had any behavioral issues. Ro trained Beans, but he also taught us that we are capable of managing any behaviors and helped us to be calm and in control. He was completely available to us the entire 15 days of training and answered our many many questions. He helped us work through every situation that would have been terrifying to us before but now is no problem. Beans is doing wonderfully now and most importantly, my partner and I feel confident in our work with her. She was always a good dog, but now she is a good dog that is also well behaved and easy to work with. The program is expensive- but worth every single penny. You can’t put a price on a well behaved dog, and the sense of peace that comes with it. I know if Beans had ever got out of control and hurt herself or another dog (god forbid) we would have spent a great deal more in vet bills than we did on this training. Instead, we chose to invest our money into training to prevent any issues from happening ever again, and ensure that we were being safe and responsible pet owners. I can’t thank the entire team at The Dog Wizard enough for all they did to help Beans and more importantly, to help us learn how to work with her. I recommend the 15 day train to any owners of reactive dogs- it will change your life!

I had the pleasure of working with Riley at The Dog Wizard and I couldn't be more grateful for her dedication and commitment to Leia. Riley was able to train Leia and address our main concerns with leash walking and high prey drive. Prior to working with Riley, I had refused to walk Leia after she had dragged me across the street, causing major road rash to my right shin while she was on the chase of a squirrel. But thanks to Riley's expertise, Leia can now walk off leash right beside me without any issues.

I rescued my 2-year-old German Shepherd, Harry, in January and had been struggling to manage not only his anxiety and reactivity but also his size and strength. I felt guilty that he wasn’t getting enough exercise and mental stimulation because of my busy schedule and, honestly, my inability to handle him correctly. After researching for months, I finally had time to devote to his training, so I filled out a form online and Bri called me the next morning. From the moment I consulted with Bri on the phone, I knew I was at the right place. She talked me through all of the programs offered, and I decided the 15-day group training program would be the best fit for Harry.

The owner/trainer, Romario, possesses an exceptional blend of experience, patience, and knowledge that completely transformed not only my dog’s behavior but our entire bond. He provided individualized training tailored to Harry’s specific needs, and the results have been nothing short of life-changing. Harry is finally able to relax at home instead of following me around everywhere, he no longer jumps on me, he is able to calmly ride in the car, his leash and dog reactivity has dramatically decreased, he’s able to be calm in public, and he respects my commands to “off”. He has also found his crate to be a safe space that he can go to if needed.

What sets Ro apart is his genuine kindness towards both the dogs and their owners. I’ve never met a more patient trainer who truly cares about the success of his clients. His expertise in canine behavior is vast, and his ability to teach not just the dogs but also their owners is remarkable. Ro and Fred (Harry’s other trainer) always took the time to explain each step of the training process, ensuring I felt comfortable continuing the work on my own. I never felt rushed; every question I had was answered, and constructive feedback was given. Most importantly, they celebrated the smallest victories and provided confidence-building support whenever I felt frustrated, which kept both of us motivated.

I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact Ro and his team have had on both Harry’s and my life. The trainers at The Dog Wizard Fort Collins have been amazing with my nervous rescue! She’s not usually a fan of people, but she absolutely adores the staff, which speaks volumes about their program. They’ve been so accommodating and supportive throughout the process, and I now have great tools and a strong support system that has positively changed our daily life. I can’t say enough great things about the entire team, from management to the trainers, they always go out of their way to help. The structured daycare has been perfect for my dog, who would struggle in a typical daycare setting, and I know she’s cared for and keeping up with her training while I’m at work. I also get so many compliments on how well-behaved she is when we’re out in public or at restaurants, something I never thought would even be possible for us. I highly recommend them!!

I highly recommend Fort Collins Dog Wizard. Our 2 year old Golden Retriever was struggling with a couple issues like confidence, leash pulling and occasional reactivity on the leash towards other dogs. Marcus, Brenden and the other trainers worked their magic with Dawson to change his state of mind. They also worked their magic on my husband and I teaching us how to work with Dawson to get the positive results we were looking to achieve. Their training program is very effective and I'm pretty sure Dawson had a blast while learning to be a good boy. After graduation, we were encouraged to attend the Saturday support groups to continue reinforcing positive behavior. We appreciate the support classes because it gives Dawson a chance to be around many other dogs and practice walking on a short leash around others. It has also been a good opportunity to ask questions and get advice on new issues that arise. Thanks for being AWESOME Dog Wizard!!!
