I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Kathy at A Touch of Golden Class. We have three dogs, each with their own unique personalities and challenges, and Kathy tailored a training program for each one that yielded remarkable results.

What impressed us most was Kathy’s ability to customize the training to suit each dog's needs. Whether it was basic obedience, behavior modification, or specialized commands, socialization, the approach was always dog specific, effective, and humane.

Equally important was Kathy’s dedication to teaching us, the owners. Training doesn't stop after the session ends, and she took the time to ensure we understood the techniques and commands so that we could continue the training at home. This ongoing support has been invaluable in maintaining the progress we've seen. We have even been able to call her with any follow up questions to make sure that we knew how to handle new scenarios that we encountered on their daily walks.

My wife and I are so happy with our decision to go with Kathy at A Touch of Golden Class Dog Daycare and Boarding. From our first interaction during a hectic Christmas season when we urgently needed boarding for our three dogs, Kathy was a lifesaver. Every other place was fully booked, but Kathy welcomed our dogs into her home as if it were meant to be. She treated them with such care, ensuring they lived just as they do at our house, with the freedom to roam her dedicated areas and play outside whenever they pleased, rather than being confined to kennels for most of the day.

We love A Touch of Golden Class and Kathy was amazing working with our fur baby, Sansa. Our 1yr 10 mo Australian Cattle Dog/Terrier/Lab Retriever mix was showing over excitement when visitors would come over, some resource guarding with other dogs present, and excessive pulling on the leach on walks. After two weeks with A Touch of Golden Class, Sansa came home tired, happy, and educated! Walks have been so much more rewarding for her and myself and Kathy gave my husband and I lots of take home schooling to help Sansa continue fine tuning her new learned skills. When visitors come over, she knows how to relax and greet nicely and her socialization at "school" has helped her be more willing with sharing her toys. Thank you Kathy for everything!

I found Kathy at a time when I just came home with a brand new golden doodle puppy and was out of my mind! It had been over a decade since I had a puppy and I forgot how much work was needed. I have to work full time and I went to Kathy exhausted and needing help. She immediately told me to bring Ody over… it was a Thursday night. It was the best decision I ever made. Ody continued to go to full time daycare after she trained him. When Ody sees her he is so excited and happy and I have never worried, not once! Over the holidays she kept him for a week when I was out of town. The best part, Kathy has provided love and care to Ody, and encourages me and provides me with tips when I have questions. I have found her to be very generous as well. Ody still goes all these months later! You won’t be disappointed!

We recently got a mini-dachshund puppy. He was nipping at us. Thankfully we found Kathy! Our little furbaby spent 2 weeks with her and learned manners! Also, he was able to play and interact with big dogs. But his favorite little pal was Mae - another puppy! Also, Kathy taught him how to use a, "Potty" button. Just tonight, he pushed the button, so I took him out and he went potty. We came back in and not 2 min later, he pushed it again. (I thought, didn't we just go out?) But I took him out and he went again. That told me that I didn't stay out long enough with him the first time! It's amazing when you can communicate with your dog! I love it! I love how much socialization he got when he was over there. Also, Kathy is incredibly knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have! Definitely call her and see how she can help! Kathy did so well helping my pup set up for success! I have a chocolate Labrador, Patchi. We were making progress on our own, but I knew we needed professional help. Thats when I found Kathy! We did a board and train with her. Progress isn’t linear, and continuing the training that Kathy started with Patchi is a must. But with her help, and lots of tips and advices, we are able to get Patchi started to become the best dog she can be and is well on her way to become a therapy dog! I never had to worry about Patchi when she was under Kathy’s care because I know she is well-loved in her household.

I have two big dogs who are very high energy and high maintenance and there is nobody in the world I trust more to watch them than Kathy. Also, When I rescued my husky puppy she was unmanageable. She would lunge on leashes, chance after everything she saw, bite, play too rough, and you couldn't touch her to put a leash on or brush her. Kathy was so amazing when working with her and training her but also taught me how to continue her training at home. Kathy always puts the dogs first and it's been priceless to know that when I have to leave my pups somewhere it's with her.

Kathy is the best! We took our very young Brittany puppy to her for puppy camp. She had been biting us and was a bit out of control. She came back a new dog. No biting and able to do simple commands. She loves going to Kathy's. She has become completely socialized by playing with all of the dogs at Kathy's day care. Kathy continues train her every time we leave her for day care or an overnight. When we drive up to Kathy's she can't wait to get out the car. Kathy is like a dog whisperer. All kindness and great results.
