After making the decision to open up our hearts and home to another dog we began the search for a perfect brother to our girl rescue pit. We fell in love with rigatoni instantly. He was the right age, sex, and we loved that he comes from a training center, I filled out an application for adoption on 9/10/24 and eagerly waited for the two week period once the application was filled out to follow up on the application. On 9/24/14 I was then informed by Laura that another application had been filled out before mine. I was invited to check back in, in a few weeks to see if things had progressed with the previous applicants. I wrote back on 9/29/14 for an update and did not receive a response. I reached out again on 10/24/24 because he was still posted on the adoption site. Again Laura responded and said there was applications before mine and asked if I would be willing to do multiple meetings and I replied yes and asked how many applicants are ahead of mine. I still have yet to hear back a response. What upsets me about this is the lack of communication. We love our adopted dog and wanted to provide love and a good home and also provide our dog with a companion. When we saw rigatoni online we instantly fell in love and just had a feeling that he is the right dog for our family. It hurts to put yourself out there and to not get any response in return. I feel like this is a disservice to the animal, the potential adopter, and the whole reason why they are doing this in the first place.

Really can’t say enough positive things about this place. The staff members care so deeply about the dogs and will go above + beyond to make sure they are well taken care of. The trainer we worked with, Terje, invested a lot of time into making sure our rescue (Sheriff) would be successful in our home. Thank you Terje, Hannah, and all the ABRT staff for being the absolute BEST!!!

Our Caviar, Libby is in her third level of training at ABRT. We have both learned so much through their classes. I highly recommend “ The Nose Knows” training. Fun for dogs and their owners.

Love all of the instructors, and the classes are awesome! They've been a tremendous help with my reactive aussie and getting my young sheltie into the sport of agility. Would absolutely go here with any future dogs as well 🙂

I have been working with ABRT for about 2.5 years now with my dog Gunner. We rescued Gunner through ABRT and continue to train him through ABRT.

Gunner is ~90# so if he wants to go somewhere he takes you with him! I appreciate that Lauren and the gang work very hard to teach you ... how to train the dog (think train the trainer. ) ABRT is a local non-profit, but their curriculum and plan for how to help out dogs behave! Love love love ABRT!

My experience with this rescue was great! Very thorough and professional, and the foster, Morgan, was super helpful in facilitating and helping ease the transition for my newly adopted dog. After an initial introduction at the foster home, she brought the pup over to my house twice so that her presence would be reassuring for the pup in her new surroundings, to start. I would definitely work with 2 Blondes rescue again.

We found All Breed after adopting our dog at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak region. They were recommended as the place to get training for our dog. All Breed is even better than that, they train you to train your dog. After a couple of classes in Neo Dog 1 I knew this was a great non-profit and decided it would be a great volunteer opportunity. I have since done many of the volunteer positions working with dogs and people and have found they are truly a great organization saving animals lives and enriching peoples lives through positive trust built relationship training. The training available ranges from simple obedience all the way through specialties. I highly recommend you try All Breed.
