I stopped by here for the 1st time to buy baked goods for a potluck. I was amazed at the prices compared to Sprouts, Nugget and Trader Joe’s. I did notice a lot of filth but that goes without saying for a discounted grocery store.

I went and did some quick shopping for dinner and after totaling $38+ (at the self check-out) my EBT card wouldn't work which was embarrassing and extremely stressful. The cashier (after attempting to try my card several times, both by sliding the card and also entering it in manually) ended up pulling out her credit card and purchased the groceries for me. I was extremely blessed by (Kim) I think her name is. I'm not used to people going out of their way to help me and she went so far beyond that. Thank you very much and I hope that soon I will be able to bless you.

Very nice people working there. Like that it’s open till midnight and closer to me than Winco. Prices are fairly priced. Not fond of the people hanging out in front at all hours especially late at night

They have reduced the brands they carry and there were many empty or sparsely stocked shelves.
Always a hassle to check out as they usually only have 2 registers open and no self checkout or express line.
Easier places to go with comparable or lower prices
Update 6-21-2022
They have been doing a great job keeping prices down and their shelves are well stocked

Consistently mid-to-low prices. Better lighting, music, and methodic placement of product/shelves/walkways. I was lucky enough to work for this company (different location) for about a year and a half. The only reason I left was a move, lack of transportation, and what I thought was a better opportunity. It was not. Great place to shop, great place to work. Maxximize your shopping power, FoodMaxx!

Your self checkout is ALWAYS closed in the middle of the day. Today 2pm we want 1 can of soup, self checkout is closed for no reason. And then you always only have 1 cashier checking people out, meanwhile 3 other employees just standing around.. get it together guys ! Open your self checkout you’re losing so much business because of it. No one going to wait 20 minutes in line for a $3 can of progresso soup..

I enjoy shopping at this store because there is ample parking, helpful staff, great selection with great prices, and a good calm atmosphere. Because of the store’s layout it doesn’t ever feel too crowded to me. I love that they have the box of the 5 meats for $25, ALREADY BOXED UP!!. As a busy breadwinning single mom I can run in and grab a box and have the protein portion for dinner for a week! It would be nice if they had a dry package like this as well for the sides. The meats are always cut with consideration and the produce is always fresh and stocked. Walmart only has scraps of cilantro most of the time while I never have this problem at FoodMaxx. Also, you can find the good Maruchan noodles here.

I used to come here often but since winco opened less so. Don't get me wrong I still come here but they never have enough cashiers. Like today I come here at 10:30 p.m. and they only have 3 cashiers and every line is lined up to the freezers. I have written corporate but they don't care. They say there is not enough labor.

Update: January 2023
I like the fact Foodmaxx has totally revamped this store. They have finally installed self checkout lanes albeit too little, too late. The self checkout only has four registers and on some days they don't even have enough labor to have a cashier there to monitor them. On those days, which I am surprised is too frequent, there are only two cashiers to alleviate the long lines they have. I still shop here because of familiarity and proximity to work.

I got to the checkout lane at around 6 PM today and they already had the self checkout lanes closed. I suppose not enough help to maintain the self check. Anyway, they had three cashiers working and the line I was in only had one customer ahead. I happened to go to Walmart afterward and did notice the produce prices are higher at WalMart but general groceries were the same or slightly lower than FoodMaxx. Still, I like coming here even though the familiar faces I usually see have moved on or retired.
