My pup, at 6 months, was so sweet and “wanted” to be good and wanted to please but couldn’t quite find her way. The class provided us with the tools to teach her the basics so she is so much more in control. They taught us humans how to read our pup’s body language and the hand signals and methodology to communicate to them what we wanted them to do. My pup is happier and so am I!! Excellent teachers!!

This is a review for Bonnie Brown-Cali and Kristin Castro:

Thinking you need help with your dog? Look no further! We adopted a new dog (Jojo, a pointer doberman mix) after our 14+ year old pointer left us. I am ashamed to admit I instantly regretted it. We adopted him on a whim and immediately realized we have a dog that knew absolutely nothing, was super reactive with dogs, barked at everything, always wanted to bolt out the door, chase every single thing that moved and was impossible to walk on a leash. It was very stressful! I felt very alone. I knew he was not lacking in the love department and I felt he had potential. I did NOT want to give up on him. That is when I contacted Bonnie. She helped me train our last dog to hike off leash. I knew if anyone could help it would be her.

I worked with Bonnie for 4 sessions. She helped us get started with some obedience training. Walking leashed, waiting at the door and beginning 'place' command. Bonnie is super understanding and very knowledgeable with many tricks up her sleeve. If one way doesn't work, she will find another way using her decades-long knowledge of dog training. Amazing!

We then sent Jojo to the Board and Train program for 4 weeks with Kristin Castro. Kristin has an incredible ability to understand how each individual dog tends to think and navigate life. When Jojo returned to us, he was a much better version of himself. He now acts less like an individual and more as a partner/family member.

I can now walk him by other dogs without lunging and reacting. He rarely barks, he waits at the door until I release him, walks well on the leash and now has great recall while hiking off leash and playing outside. Kristin also assessed him with other dogs and, to my relief, he loves them. She also taught me how to interact with Jojo using a flirt pole and a tug toy. So fun! Kristin also improved Jojo's 'place' command, which is a super convenient command to have! We now use 'place' when people come to the house to do work, when it is time to settle for a bit and when having company for dinner.

Thanks to Kristin Jojo is now living his best life! We continue to do the work together while having fun at the same time.

Dog Dynamics has been integral in the training of two of my four-legged best friends. They took my reactive, too-much-to-handle adult lab and turned him into a partner who was by my side through thick and thin, able to enjoy life out and about for the rest of his life, despite his reactivity. After that, they gave my nervous rescue pup and me a solid training foundation to build his confidence. This is truly a group of "dog whisperers" who teach you and your dog to communicate with and understand one another, making life so much more enjoyable for both dog and handler! If you have brought home a new puppy or adopted an older dog, you need to know Dog Dynamics. The trainers are fantastic and know how to work with you and your dog. Whether it is private sessions or a class environment, they understand how to help both you and your dog. Most recently I worked with Jess when I adopted a puppy. Both the private sessions and class were incredibly valuable for both me and the puppy.

Our 4month old German Shepherd, Dozer, needed general puppy training and was also reactive to dogs and people. Bonnie recommended a three week board and train with Emily Goodman. Dozer completed the session and we completed 2 trainings with Emily. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Dozer is a different dog, calmer, with basic obedience skills and his reaction to new people, dogs and surrounding has improved 💯. Emily has been wonderful to work with. She clearly loves animals, working with them and their people! She is a wealth of knowledge and is available to answer all questions/concerns through the process. We have already signed up for the 3 week adolescent board and train with Emily to take Dozer’s training to the next level.

We have worked with Dog Dynamics for years. Bonnie helped manage behavior changes in an older dog that became reactive after being attacked. She was professional, patient, punctual and kind.
We recently had the pleasure of working with Emily. During the three week boot camp she transformed our energetic puppy into a young dog that we can take on outings, to restaurants, cafes and camping. We get compliments on the behavior! Emily kept us updated regularly and was patient while training the humans too.
We have also had the pleasure of working with Avery for puppy training and for scent work. Avery is great at making adjustments during class and she makes class fun. Our dog really enjoys the scent work and we like that Avery helped set us up for success at home so we can continue the fun.
