After my dog flunked out of Zoom Room, I found Stacey. She is an absolute pro and taught us how to work effectively with a reactive dog with high energy. Her methods are calm and reasonable, she explains everything to you very clearly, and teaches you how to work with your dog when she's not there. Great find.

We chose to work with Stacy for the personal training and Lindsay for the puppy socialization class. They are both very professional and knowledgeable. Since we are a first time owner for a golden retriever, we had a lot of questions regarding how to train our dog, and they addressed all of our concerns. Our dog had a problem with eating things from the ground during walks, and they taught us how to address this problem, and we’ve seen so much improvement! They really care about you and your dog, and if in the future our dog has any new problems we will definitely go to them for help.

We adopted a mixed breed (primarily American Staffordshire Terrier) dog named Daisy a couple months ago from a shelter in Nevada. She was about 8 months old and we knew nothing about her past. She was lovable but very spirited and hard to control. I decided that professional dog training would be a good idea for Daisy. I went to the internet and OC Paws Dog Training popped up on my screen. I compared their advertisement to others that were available and decided they were in line with what I was looking for. I called and signed up for a series of four adolescent (over 6 months) training classes. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were limiting the class size to only 3 dogs and the classes had to be held outdoors. Of course the human owners all had to wear face masks. Andrew, our instructor, did an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating the training material in a fun and professional manner. He explained everything thoroughly. We were told why dogs behave the way they do and instructed on how to create positive changes. We were given the tools necessary to be our dog’s trainer now and on an ongoing basis. Andrew advised and encouraged everyone that he was available after class to answer additional questions they have regarding their dog. I did this a couple of times and was very pleased with the personal attention and great advice received. I also emailed Andrew with an issue I was having with Daisy regarding a concerning behavior. He provided very honest and helpful advice. Andrew sends out an email recap after each class to all participants that reviews the training that was introduced and what we should continue to work on. This class meet all my needs and exceeded my expectations. Daisy has learned to control her high spirit and has allowed me to enjoy our time together with the confidence I need to have. I would highly recommend Andrew and OC Paws Dog Training to anyone looking for a great class and/or instructor to fulfill your dog’s training needs. I am so impressed with what was accomplished in this class and look forward to a lifetime of happiness with Daisy.

OC Paws Dog Training is one of the best dog training businesses in So Cal. I signed up my dog for group lessons and private sessions with Andrew. He taught her very valuable commands and socialization skills. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

My dogs love Stacy, and they are always excited for our training sessions. I've received so many helpful tips and training techniques from Stacy to work through the anxiety and barking issues my 2 small terrier mixes have. I would definitely recommend OC Paws Dog Training!

OC Paws did a great job with our lab! Stacy was so good with our dog and taught us some great tools for training. We finished our sessions feeling much more knowledgeable and we know we have the skills to continue to grow with our dog as he grows. She was always available for questions and would follow up each lessons with an overview and things to work on in between visits. We would recommend OC Paws to a friend!

Brandi was absolutely fantastic with our Pitbull, Piper. We recently adopted Piper, and she is a ball of untrained energy. Brandi gave my wife and I several pointers to modify and train her behavior for acting appropriately around other dogs, not reacting, and for not getting too excited. We also covered several base level commands like focus, stay, leave it and drop it. It's up to us to stay consistent with the ongoing maintenance and training, but Piper is in a better place now, and we may bring our second dog aboard to OC Paws.

We have been working with Andrew from OC Paws for almost a year and a half. He is wonderful working with my rescue pittie’s issues. Andrew has been amazingly patient, as it took 6 months before he could pet my dog or handle the leash. He went from throwing treats across the room to being my pup’s bestie. Atlas loves Andrew and my mastiff Sophie does too. He always takes her antics in stride while training with Atlas. Andrew is easy going, kind, and has creative solutions. We have seen a huge improvement in reactivity towards dogs on walks and with guests coming into the home. My dog also recovers much quicker from stresses. I was desperately searching for an in home trainer to address specific issues and it was a challenge to find someone during Covid and a person that we like who is also an excellent trainer. I am so glad we found OC Paws and Andrew. They are great for basic training and problem solving specific issues. Several co-workers have also used OC Paws for training and all have been happy with Andrew. I usually do not leave reviews, but relied on them to help find OC Paws. If you are looking for dog training, look no further. OC Paws is excellent value at a great price.
