This review is quite overdue, but had to take some time processing our tough loss of our sweet Daisy of 14 years. Daisy had been having some heart issues over the past year or so, but one weekend in January, her abdominal area swelled up significantly and she would have a hard time breathing. She had the same vet (Placentia Veterinary Clinic) over the years, and while my mother would call repeatedly and share Daisy's concerns, they didn't call her back and when they finally did and examined her, they just mentioned it can happen w/ her heart & told us to stop giving 1 of the medications they prescribed her and sent her home.

Nothing was improving, we went with our gut to get a 2nd opinion with Dr. Dhanoa at Yorba Pet Care Center, and in just 1 day he was able to give us a thorough assessment, recommended draining fluid (he removed ONE ENTIRE LITER OF FLUID) from her abdominal area making her more comfortable. He shared the risks, and ran further tests and that is how we found out she had a huge mass on her liver & heart. We had to take her to the ER, in which she ended up having to stay for a few days hooked up to oxygen because of how reliant she was on it. The mass ended up being Hemangiosarcoma, very aggressive cancer and her prognosis was only a few days to weeks at most. We had to make the unbearable decision to put her down so she wasn't struggling so much, but truthfully, if we didn't go to Dr. Dhanoa -- Daisy would have simply been struggling so bad and the mass, not could have, WOULD HAVE, bursted, causing her immense pain right before passing away.

Dr Dhanoa was incredibly kind, respectful, and empathetic. I know these vets see animals day in and day out and deal with emotional and stressed pet owners, but he truly treated us & Daisy with so much care. He gave us such thorough explanations and was patient, and answered our countless questions, and he always put the pet first. Deciding to put Daisy down wasn't easy of course by any means, & Dr. Dhanoa wouldn't recommend it unless he knew that was the last resort and only right thing to do by your pet. (He formerly took care of my brother's senior dog Judo and treated them with the same respect and care). He is kind and empathetic towards your feelings, but more importantly, your pets health.

My family is forever grateful for Dr. Dhanoa; if I didn't live in LA, my two own dogs would be going to him. Highly, HIGHLY recommend going to him. Thank you for all that you did, Dr

Was visiting from out of town and they got me in same day to check on my dog. He needed a procedure and were able to get him in next day for surgery. Not only were prices very reasonable, the doctor and entire staff were very welcoming and informative. Thank you so much for getting Dexter in so quickly and getting him out of discomfort and pain. Your local community is so lucky to have you!

I brought home a dog from the shelter last week and within a few days she was coughing. I was unable to get in to see our vet for almost a week, but Dr. D gave me a same day appointment to get my girl seen and started with meds so her condition didn’t worsen. Everyone at the office was very polite and helpful.

Such a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and thorough. My puppy slept during the entire wellness check and the doctor seems so genuine and caring. Compared to the other vet I went to, this was A+.

Agree with another comment recently made. They refuse to share general price ranges which is concerning. Pricing is important and having an expectation of the costs is helpful. Several other vet locations within the area are upfront about pricing

I took my cat here for enucleation. I was recommended this doctor by MeoowzReQ. Dr. Dhanoa was so amazing. He and his staff were thorough with my options pre-surgery and aftercare post-surgery. There was a little confusion with scheduling and pre-op instructions, he was apologetic and it was resolved. (FYI: pre-op, no food for 10-12 hours.) The procedure was very affordable but was not lacking in the quality of care. They provided a cone-collar and post-surgery medication. My cat healed beautifully.

I’ve been to this center 3 times. The first time was for a surgery consult, 2nd time was drop off for surgery, and then same-day pickup. It’s a 35-minute drive from where I live. Take a book with you, you’ll have to wait outside because of their COVID precautions. They are BUSY and doing the best they can for EVERYONE’s pets.

Everyone is wonderful there I'm so comfortable I have tried two other vets before going there. I can't say enough about the doctor how sweet and caring. And the staff thank you so much for taking good care of my snowflakes 💗
