My husband & I had only trusted family or close friends to care for our pets (2 dogs & 2 cats), whenever we went away. But to allow us more travel flexibility, we needed to find an equally trustworthy professional sitting service.

Nerdy Dog Training consistently got rave reviews in our city’s social media groups. Small world moment, one of their co-owners, Flynn, shared a few mutual personal friends with us who also raved about him! So it was fated we give Nerdy Dog a try. LOL

Flynn provided a pre-sit in-home visit with us & our pets. We hit it off immediately, appreciated his expertise as a vet tech, gentle manner with our pets & responsible personality. He gathered detailed info on our pets quirks, medical history & daily routine. He even asked how we’d like emergency pet care handled, just in case. Nerdy’s sitting fees were quite reasonable.

Our young poodle-mix pup is nervous around strangers but Flynn won him over in record time! While staying overnight for a few days, he put our minds at ease by texting any questions, giving regular pet updates & sending pics of our fur babies. We returned to wonderfully cared for happy pets & home!

We didn’t hesitate to immediately book Flynn for another 1 night gig. This time our “little old lady” doggo had a little tummy trouble. Flynn kept a very close eye on her and continually consulted with us as he nursed her through it. Thankfully, it was short bug & she was back to normal within a couple hours.

It’s such a huge relief to know we can count on Nerdy Dog for our future pet sitting needs! We can’t recommend them high enough!!!

As an owner of two high energy border collie mixes who are definitely more than a bit spoiled, and who are used to having human company most of the time, finding the right caretaker so traveling is possible is essential! Our previous dog sitters grew up and left home and we found ourselves in need of a new highly qualified dog sitter.
After a canine/human meet and greet that went amazingly well, Flynn was hired for an initial 3 day trip. While we were gone, we received texts and photo updates and the girls definitely had a great time.
Feeding these two gets interesting because one eats everything available and the other is a dainty eater who grazes on the side. Flynn was totally okay with this food craziness as well as with playing ball/fetch for many hours a day and even bravely taking them outside to play on their splash pad and dealing with the chaos that goes with having two very wet dogs.
We have already rebooked for other upcoming trips and I know I'm going to regret posting this review, because it will make Flynn that much more difficult book!

Flynn gave us so much peace of mind when our whole household was out of town for a long weekend. We have cats, dogs, snakes, and chickens and he took care of them all like they were his own. He was responsive when we wanted to check in and gave us updates unprompted. All our animals felt comfortable around him, which is not always the case with new people. Would highly recommend Nerdy Dog for their above and beyond service!

Flynn provides a regular drop-in / walk service for my dog when I’m working full days and has also provided in-home boarding (at our home) when we went away for a few days. Both services are super high quality. Our dog adores Flynn and it is reassuring to know he is in such capable hands. After the house stay you could barely tell that Flynn had been living there, it was so impeccably kept and we came home to a relaxed and happy pup!

I am owned by 5 cats who are extremely spoiled! I hired Flynn/Nerdy Dog Training to house and pet-sit while I was gone for a long weekend, and he exceeded my already high expectations! During the walk-through, he asked questions, and approached my fabulous felines carefully and respectfully. During his stay, I received regular updates (and pictures!). I have two very shy cats, and one of them is on medication, but Flynn handled both really well, letting them make the first move and gently engaging with them. Due to his vet tech experience, he easily pilled my shy guy, which took a huge load off my mind. He petted and entertained my sweet babies, and while I like to think they missed me, it's certain they didn't miss me nearly as much as they otherwise would have. When I got home, everything was clean, all cat boxes scooped, dishes filled, and happy feline faces greeted me. I am absolutely going to use Nerdy Dog Training/Flynn for my next house and pet sitting job... it's already booked, and I'm SO much less anxious than I usually am about leaving them. Highly recommended for all aspects of pet care, with an emphasis on CARE.

Loved the nerdy dog service! Flynn felt like family right away. All our animals, dog and cats were taken care of with love, quality and excellent care. Such a blessing to be able to go on vacation and know that our family at home is being taken care of and given attention and love. I loved getting pictures and updates! I never had to worry even when we were out of town for over a week. I would highly recommend Nerdy Dog Service to everyone! I know we don’t want to leave our animals with any one else going forward.

Flynn was an unbelievably great pet sitter for our two kitties over the holidays. Flynn was attentive, warm, and responsive at every step. Our kitties were even treated to some holiday treats from Flynn, which they LOVED! I would recommend Flynn’s pet sitting services to anyone!

We hired Flynn & Eric from the Nerdy Dog crew through a reference from a friend of ours. We were going out of town and needed someone with experience to take care of our four kitties (including two ferals we are fostering). They both did a fantastic job. They asked all the right questions on the initial visit and continually checked in with us while we were on travel. Prices were very reasonable for excellent service. We'll certainly continue to use their assistance during future travel.
