We sent our GSD here for the fully trained dog borading when he was about 6 months old. He's now a little over 2 years old. We are so happy with the results and it was worth every penny. We wanted Lex to be trained in a home, family style setting. We were involved in the training process and even got to spend a few weekends with him at home. Lex gets so many compliments on his training and gets to enjoy many freedoms that he wouldn't probably be afforded otherwise. He can attend all family events, including offleash walks at the park. His Recall is almost impeccable, and he's almost a perfect boy when we are out. What I love about it, he's not a robot, he's still a dog that loves to run, play and get into trouble when he can but we can always turn the switch when needed and he knows when it's time to follow our lead. The upkeep for his training isn't that hard because he had a very good foundation, which is very helpful because we are not as consistent as we should always be. Overall we are so happy with the results and highly recommend Hilly.

We came to Hilly as new dog owners with a new 5 month old puppy, Oreo. Hilly was very gracious and patient with him. Oreo had all the puppy tendencies, lunging, not walking very straight, eating everything off the ground, overly excited when other dogs or humans came around. We chose the fully trained program and couldn’t be happier with the results! He is so well mannered now even when hosting large parties. Also walking him has been so much easier which calmed a lot of our anxiety. We continue to use Hilly for boarding and training classes when we can. Highly recommend Hilly for all your training needs!

After interviewing a few dog trainers, we settled on Hilly's services to get our rather enthusiastic (ok, spastic) newly-adopted young lab started in the right direction. Five years later, I'm so glad we did. We often get compliments on our lab's eagerness to follow commands, and I can go hiking with him under complete voice control. Our dog runs to "place" every time the doorbell rings. Thank you, thank you for your help when we needed it the most!

I wish we had heard of Hilly long ago! The skills Otis learned from Hilly are invaluable! Imagine eating dinner in peace while your fur child waits patiently in their place… imagine walking without your pup pulling your arm out of its socket! Recall? Yes! Just call out and here he comes! Just a couple gifts we received when Otis went to camp Hilly. A must have as a dog parent to have the gift of training. Bonus, Hilly loves those dogs as her own. Rest assured they are taken care of when they are at training camp!

Hilly is a miracle worker! We took our 1 1/2 year old 50-lb. Bernedoodle to Hilly for a board and train program and he came back a changed animal. We had done local training programs here and there, ever since we got him at eight-weeks-old, but nothing was consistent enough and he still had some anxiety, and reactivity issues around other dogs that we could not break. He also used to “lead us” on walks versus us leading him. Hilly taught him calmness and control and so many other manners. When he came back to us after the board and train he calmly heeled at our side as we walked, easily came when called, went to his place bed at home when told and generally was a much better-behaved dog both at home and in public. Hilly did a great job on training us as well to reinforce the new learned behaviors at home. The first day that I took him on a walk after we got him back from Hilly, a dog walker stopped me on the street to compliment me on how well my dog walked. We cannot recommend Hilly enough! Hilly is definitely a dog whisperer.

We have had an amazing experience with Hillary! Our Penny girl (the most difficult dog/pet we’ve ever attempted to train) has been transformed with Hillary’s love and training program. 5 stars! We highly recommend this program for any dog.

We hired Hillary when we received our 10 week old “Covid” Corgi. She helped onboard our pup into our home. Then when Brix was a few months older we sent her to stay with Hillary for training. After several weeks Brix returned to us healthy, happy and perfectly trained. Hilly continued to give us direction and support Brix to ensure a seamless transition back into our home. We have referred Hilly countless times. She is the best!

We reached out to Hilly when we were having a difficult time training our new dog, a GSD rescue. Hilly was empathetic towards our situation, acknowledging how stressful it was for us as owners. We discussed expectations of what behaviors would likely be eliminated and which behaviors would improve but still require management. From our initial in-person interaction, it was evident that Hilly is talented in handling dogs. We scheduled a board and train and Hilly provided guidance on how to manage our dog while we awaited our start date. The program is results-based and when our dog wasn’t progressing in the training, Hilly adjusted the training to find an approach that worked for our dog. While it took our dog a while for everything to “click” with our dog, the results were worth the wait. He is much more respectful of boundaries and we’re able to communicate with him clearly. After the program, Hilly continues to be a trusted resource for us - helping us with ongoing training, enrichment ideas, and even boarding.
