I was so desperate for help with managing some of my French Bulldog, Walton's, behaviors, so my vet recommended me to Brad. From the start, my fiance and I felt completely comfortable, and it was clear that he truly understood our dog's needs. Brad worked so well with our dog (our dog loves him!), and we’ve already seen significant improvements in his behavior. His recall has improved so much and we've learned different ways to redirect his crazy energy! Communication was easy, and we really appreciated the helpful insights provided throughout the process. We engaged Brad as a trainer when we adopted a rescue dog. Having Brad working with us individually in the early stages of welcoming Lily into our home was an invaluable resource. One thing Brad helped us with immediately was to read Lily's body language and understand when she was feeling stressed and anxious. He helped us to create fun training games and activities that helped to build her confidence and her comfort with us and with environmental things she found scary and stressful. Brad's techniques have been a solid foundation for us to continue to work with Lily even after she has settled comfortably into our family. I don't feel at that time Lily would have been ready for a group training class, and having individual and personalized training was very helpful as we navigated the transition.

To be honest, I wasn’t convinced that training would be helpful for my dog. Pepito was a rambunctious nibbler! He didn’t like going for walks and was extremely bad at fetch. He was pretty of out of control at times and I was scared he would run away when he was off leash.

Training a puppy requires consistency, patience, and creative problem solving. Brad was able to set up structures to make sure I was being consistent in my training and helped me problem-solve 'bad' behaviors in real time.

Training helped achieve walking without pulling, teach recall, crate training, less barking, fetch and probably more that I’m forgetting! Walking my dog is so much more relaxing and I have more strategies to tire him out so I’m not overwhelmed by his puppy energy! He has more fun now too because we’ve found a consistent schedule that gets him lots of exercise and stimulation. I also better understand his needs and how to avoid accidently rewarding behaviors that I don't want. We also trust his recall enough now to let him off leash at the beach, which he loves!

Brad is really a people-trainer! I learned a lot about being consistent and how to see my behavior from a dog's point of view. Understanding how positive reinforcement works and how punishment doesn’t allow me to learn how to problem-solve on my own. I think I understood these things in theory but in practice it was much different. I highly recommend Brad!

I will definitely refer Brad to other pet owners. He makes a lot of effort to observe and understand pet behavior along with the owners needs. My 2 yr Labrador became defensive and at times aggressive after a trainer recommended I Use a prong to train him. We removed it after I met Brad. we used positive reinforcement to train him. After 3 months of 1-1 in person training Romeo plays well with other dogs, his recall is 90% there and I’ve learned to handle him. it’s a work in progress but the change is a huge progress.
We continue to work with Brad so I can continue to build a good relationship with Romeo.
Also, Romeo loves Brad which is a good sign.

He also gave me lots of helpful feedback not only during sessions, but between sessions via the Training Tracker and check-in texts.
