Koi Enterprise is a family owned small business located in West Sacramento. It's operated out of the extended property of the owners house. The owner, Anthony, in my opinion, is The Koi expert in the region. They have a very good selection of Koi and Koi pond products.

Anthony has been around Koi and Koi ponds since he was 13, when he built his first pond. He was trained by a Japanese Koi expert that even took him to Japan and showed him the ropes. He continues to travel to Japan regularly and bring show quality Koi to the US legally (Vet cleared, quarantined etc). Anthony has been tapped by researchers to lend his expertise and knowledge about the fish on research projects. When you talk about Koi to Anthony, his sincere enthusiasm about Koi is quite evident. I think he is the Koi Whisperer. 🙂

I started my Koi pond project and I was stuck. I spoke to Anthony over the phone and met him at his shop. Initially, I hired him as a consultant. . He kept me apprised electronically about the appointment (reminders etc.) Once he saw my partially manifested idea, he agreed to help me finish it. i am happy of the end product.

Bottom line: I wholeheartedly recommend Koi Enterprise for all your Koi needs.

My wife and I have been getting into the pond life for some months now and I was looking for a local place to see Koi in person to purchase. Came across this place with a Google search and decided to give them a try since not too far in West Sac. Amazing decision!
Couple of things to note: They get their Koi personally from Japan, and it shows. The fish are gorgeous and healthy.
Also, they have a ton of options! Yes it will be more expensive than a pet store, but you get what you pay for. I have a couple Koi from pet stores, and there is for sure a difference, not just on color vibrancy but on personality. The new one from Koi Enterprise isn't as scared of me.
Bought a beautiful platinum butterfly Koi and it's gorgeous.
The couple that own the place have been there for 20 years (I asked) and they are extremely nice and helpful. I very much look forward to going back, just need wait until I have the funds to buy more.

I recently bought 3 fish from Koi Enterprise, and I am very happy with the size, quality, and health of the fish! I've had them for around two weeks: they have settled into my pond, are eating well (by winter standards), and have lots of energy.

I bought the least expensive fish, which were approximately 6 inches long and $50 each. There were three well stocked ponds of fish to choose from at the lowest price point. The man who helped me was helpful and patient. The process of picking out my fish was fun. The other employees I interacted with were all nice too.

I went to two other places that sell koi in the Sacramento area: a pet shop and another koi focused business. Their lowest prices are lower, but the fish are much smaller. Both places had obviously sick fish in a high percentage of their ponds. Similarly sized fish at the koi focused place started around $85. Of all the places I went to, Koi Enterprise had the best quality fish and the best service.

Got a couple fish from Koi enterprise a couple years ago they really have grown well and the couple times I’ve been in there Anthony has always been available to answer any questions I have about fish or filtration. really enjoyed going there, I would give them 5 1/2 stars if they would have more yellow and white Hariwake!

Anthony and his crew did a wonderful job designing and building our koi pond. He is so knowledgeable and knows how to get the job done well. There was a large tree stump previous to the koi pond, him and his crew hand-dug it out, 3 feet deep. We now have a beautiful koi pond in its place. He will come back and correct any issues or concerns that you may have without any question. Excellent service as always!!! 🙂
